Dr. Ünzile Girişgin was born in Adana in 1970. After completing her primary, middle, and high school education in Dörtyol, Hatay, she began her studies at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1987.

In 1993, she completed her medical education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. Three months later, she performed her compulsory service in Yerköy, Yozgat. In 1994, she started her specialization in Pediatric Diseases at Ankara Dr. Sami Ulus Children's Hospital through the Medical Specialization Exam (TUS). After 16 months of pediatric training, she again passed the TUS and qualified for specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Selçuk University Meram Faculty of Medicine.

In 2000, she became an Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist and worked at Karaman Maternity Hospital for 16 months and at Konya Dr. Faruk Sükan Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital for 4 years. Due to the lack of adequate time and solutions for women's sexual problems in outpatient clinics, she participated in courses and congresses organized by all associations providing education in the field of sexuality (CETAD, Turkish Andrology Association, CISED, CISEATED...). She received training in Basic Approaches and Counseling for Sexual Problems, Female Sexual Dysfunction, and Sexuality and Sexual Therapies.

In 2010, she published her book "DO NOT READ CISS!" where she shared her experiences in this field, combining medical and Eastern cultures into a synthesis.

She participated in programs such as "Hourglass," "Lady's Hand," and "5th Season" on Kon TV, Konya TV, and Dost TV, where she provided education on women's health and sexuality. For 4 years, she ran two educational programs, "The World of Women" and "Your Doctor Says," on Radio Ribat. She presented educational conferences whenever possible. She contributed suggestions to Konya Metropolitan Municipality's project "What can we do to prevent violence against women?" and the Ministry of Family's workshop on Child Abuse and Preventive Measures.

For one year, she wrote a weekend column for the local newspaper "PUSULA."

Throughout her career, she participated in professional development congresses on Menopause and Climacteric Period, Perinatology, Ultrasound training, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Overactive Bladder, Stress Incontinence, Cosmetic Gynecology, all sexual health congresses, and Urogynecology. She is a member of the Turkish Medical Association and the Turkish Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

In 2019 alone, she attended 5 medical education congresses held in Antalya and Istanbul, as well as the KASAV-Phytotherapy course and TJOD (HPV Infection and Vaccines, Chronic Vaginitis, Urogynecology, Infertility) and the regular educational meetings of the Konya Provincial Health Directorate (Enhancing Birth, Managing Postpartum Hemorrhage, Emergency Obstetric Intensive Care Treatments, Perinatology Courses).

At the International Sexology Congress on November 16-17, 2019, she presented her work on Pornography Addiction and, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Fatma Kılıç from N.E.Ü. Meram Faculty of Medicine, presented their genital aesthetic cases from 2019.

She prepared an article on Female Genital Mutilation in Africa for SEXUS, Turkey's only international sexual health journal.

In 2012, she published her book "OH NO! HALF OF THE APPLE IS GONE," where she explained how she managed the demanding profession of obstetrics and motherhood. This book serves as a guide for young girls and women who dream of balancing their career and motherhood.

From 2011 to 2014, while raising her last baby, she prepared and published an encyclopedia titled "GUIDE TO BABY CARE FROM A DOCTOR MOM."

Currently, Dr. Ünzile Girişgin continues her active professional work as an Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist and founded SÜCED (Healthy Reproductive and Sexual Education Association) in 2018. She still serves as the president of the association and is responsible for organizing the association's educational activities.

She closely follows publications and videos in the field of sexuality from foreign countries, aiming to produce new projects for our country and future generations based on scientific studies in this field.

Her work includes public education, sexual health school, providing all kinds of sexual counseling services, and organizing weekend training programs to raise awareness among health professionals about sexual life. She also conducts joint surveys with patients and prepares new articles.
